They all came off nicely in one piece so I didn’t have to fuss with peeling a bunch of broken pieces. I was definitely impressed with how easily it came off. Here’s what my nails looked like right after I peeled off the Liquid Palisade. (BTW for this gradient I used China Glaze Sun Worshipper (orange), Island Girl Diamond Head Breeze (light pink) and China Glaze Pool Party (darker pink)) The Liquid Palisade nicely stayed intact under all that polish around my cuticles. Next, I did the gradient as normal using a makeup sponge. As you can see in the photo below, it did end up drying bubbly but I believe that may be because it is very hot where I live and the fan was running in the room where I was working. I must say that it’s super easy to apply and dried very very quickly- just a couple minutes. I started by applying two coats of China Glaze Sun Worshipper as normal and then applied a layer of Liquid Palisade all around my nails. I decided to test Liquid Palisade with a gradient since it seems like that is often the messiest nail art I get myself into. It is a very nice width and length for the painting around the nail you’ll be doing. Below is a photo of the regular, around-the-nail Liquid Palisade brush. So here’s the simple instructions provided on the back of the products. I’ll try to show more what I mean later in this post or you can check out Kiesque’s site. Effectively, this works as a liquid tape that allows super easy clean up when you to do messy nail art such as gradients. I guess I haven’t really explained what Liquid Palisade is so let me do that first! Liquid Palisade is a liquid latex product specifically designed for nails. So they sent me both the regular around-the-nail barrier and the french manicure barrier. You might have noticed that I took a while off from doing reviews but when Kiesque emailed me asking me if I wanted to try their liquid nail tape- Liquid Palisade, I couldn’t say no! In the past I’ve been using simple Elmer’s glue as both a peel off base coat and as an ‘around-the-nail’ barrier so it was nice to finally use a real liquid latex.
